Why Sealk?

Advanced Wound Care Technology
Sealk is an FDA-approved complete wound care solution for surgical bleeding control that also helps with aftercare. Following ENT procedures, such as tonsil or adenoid surgery, kids typically have sore throats, a hard time swallowing, and there is a lot of discomfort. If a scab comes off of the wound they could also cough up blood or choke. Sealk is less irritating on the throat, and there is less scabbing on the wound.
How it Works
Sealk utilizes advanced technology that provides power to control bleeding and quickly heal. Once applied to the wound and upon contact with blood, exudates (fluid from a wound or incision), or body fluids, Sealk turns into a sticky transparent gel. Sealk is reliable and fast acting which allows surgeons to focus on the operative tasks with confidence and helps the patients recovery be more manageable.
Sealk stops bleeding fast, initiates blood coagulation, forms a protective membrane layer, creating an optimal environment for fast wound healing. This lowers the need for cauterizing (burning) wounds, especially in younger children, and reduces the need and time for pain medications. It is also easily removable without disruption of the clotted surface.

Tonsil Recovery With Sealk
A tonsillectomy is a procedure that removes the tonsils – two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat that are the first line of defense against bacteria and viruses that enter your mouth. This makes them vulnerable to infection and inflammation, making removal necessary if recurring episodes of tonsillitis exist. During this procedure, where the surgeon will either cut, burn, or shave away the tonsils, the patient is under general anesthesia and is unaware of the surgery.
While the wounds from a tonsillectomy will heal naturally without stitches, the recovery time can be anywhere from 10 to 14 days. During the recovery process, pain medication will be prescribed, however there can be bleeding if the throat scab is dislodged too soon causing vomiting and discomfort, pain in the ears, neck, or jaw, swelling of the throat and tongue, nausea, mild fever, and anxiety or sleep disturbances in children. Sealk helps in the recovery process by covering wounds with a gel, reducing chances of a dislodged scab, the need for pain medication, and the risk of infection.

Testimonials
“As a nurse with 25 years of experience in the medical field, I have seen my fair share of post-tonsillectomy recoveries, and I can confidently say that my daughter’s recent experience was a revelation, all thanks to the innovative tonsil patch device..”
-Angie Zachman
“I am a scrub tech and have been in over 500 tonsillectomy procedures. I understand the procedure and recovery thoroughly, and was very nervous and anxious about my daughter’s recovery from her upcoming tonsillectomy. We were introduced to an FDA wound healing product called Sealk. We were told it would potentially help reduce her pain and speed up her recovery. We agreed to have Sealk applied during her procedure and were pleasantly surprised with her results. Her pain seemed much less than we expected, and she didn’t struggle like I expected. I would encourage everyone to enquire about Sealk.”
-Anna
“..The convenience of the tonsil patch cannot be overstated. Its application was simple, and it stayed in place throughout the recovery period, providing a continuous source of relief. The patch seemed to accelerate the healing process, as my daughter’s recovery progressed rapidly and without any setbacks..”
